Cooking time – 25 min.
Portions – 18.
Ingredients:
For filling:
- Butter – 200 gr.
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Granulated sugar – 140 gr.
- Fresh yeast – 40 gr.
- Milk 2.5% – 500 ml.

For filling:
- Poppy – 300 gr.
- Granulated sugar – 100 gr.
- Milk – 150 ml.
Additionally:
- Egg – 1 pc.
Cooking process:
Step 1. We start cooking with the dough: heat about 50 milliliters of milk to 35-40 degrees and dissolve yeast, a tablespoon of flour and the same amount of granulated sugar in it - let it stand in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.
Step 2. Without wasting time, beat the softened butter with a mixer with the addition of granulated sugar, then beat in two chicken eggs and beat thoroughly again. Add the remaining milk (warm), dough and salt to the resulting mass. Next, add the sifted flour and knead the dough thoroughly (at least 10 minutes). As soon as the dough comes together, dust it with flour and place it in a warm place until it increases in volume.
Step 3. After about an hour, the base of the future buns “grows” two or even three times.
Step 4.Place the poppy seeds on a fine sieve and rinse under running water, then transfer to a saucepan, add milk and bring to a boil. Let it brew for an hour and drain off the excess liquid.
Step 5. Add granulated sugar to the swollen poppy seeds and blend the two components using a submersible blender (the finer the better).
Step 6. Separate a small segment from the dough, roll it into a rectangular layer and grease it with filling.
Step 7. Roll the dough into a roll and cut it into portions, place it on parchment paper, which we previously covered a baking sheet with, and place it in a warm oven for half an hour to proof.
Step 8. After 30 minutes, brush the semi-finished products with beaten egg and bake for about 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees until golden brown. Bon appetit!
