How to make classic French onion soup? Place everything you need on the work surface.

After removing the skins from the onions, cut the heads into thin quarter rings.

Melt a stick of butter in a thick frying pan.

Add onion and chopped celery.

Cook the vegetables over low heat for 20 to 35 minutes, stirring occasionally to achieve a delicious caramel color.
