Classic dumplings for flour and egg soup
Classic dumplings for soup made from flour and egg are an ideal addition to first courses that will make the meal more satisfying and appetizing. For cooking, we only need a few available ingredients that everyone has on hand.
- Flour ½ (glasses)
- Chicken egg 1 (things)
- Salt 1 pinch
- Parmesan cheese (or other hard cheese) 50 (grams)

Sift the wheat flour through a fine sieve into a deep container.

Beat in the egg and add salt.

Knead the dough thoroughly until soft, adding cheese shavings.

Dust the work surface with flour and form a “sausage” with a diameter of no more than 4 centimeters.

Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 500 gr.
- Butter – 50 gr.
- Flour – 300 gr.
- Semolina – 2 tbsp.
- Eggs – 1 pc.
- Minced meat – 300 gr.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 2 teeth.
- Sour cream – 1 tbsp.
- Salt - to taste.
- Ground black pepper - to taste.
Cooking process:
Step 1. Boil the peeled potatoes until soft in salted water. Drain the broth and add a slice of butter, mash into a puree.
Step 2. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, flour and semolina.
Step 3. Place the puree into the flour mixture and knead into a sticky dough.
Step 4. Place the semi-finished product in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Step 5. Grate the peeled onion (1/2 head) and garlic on a fine grater and mix with minced meat, a tablespoon of sour cream, salt and black pepper.
Step 6. Sprinkle the work surface with a handful of flour and divide the dough into 18-20 equal segments.
Step 7. Knead the pieces into flat cakes, put a little filling in the center.
Step 8. Raise the edges up and fasten them together.
Step 9. Place the semi-finished products in portions into boiling salted water and cook for 6 minutes after the dumplings float to the surface.
Step 10. At the same time, brown the chopped onion in vegetable oil.
Step 11. Sprinkle the dumplings with fried onions along with oil from the frying pan.

Dumplings with cottage cheese
Dumplings with cottage cheese are a quick and incredibly tasty dish that everyone should definitely try! In addition to cottage cheese, the dough includes a chicken egg, a little salt and flour. For serving, chopped herbs, fried lard/meat and sour cream are traditionally added.

- Cottage cheese – 400 gr.

- Flour – 65 gr.

Step 1. Place the cottage cheese in a work container and beat in one chicken egg.
Step 2. Mix the ingredients and add some salt, add flour by handfuls.
Step 3. Use a teaspoon to scoop up the curd dough and carefully dip it into a pan of boiling water.
Step 4. Bring to a boil and cook for 60-90 seconds.
Step 5. Using a slotted spoon, place the dumplings on a plate and, if desired, pour melted butter over them - take a sample. Bon appetit!
Chechen dumplings
Chechen dumplings are a tasty and satisfying dish that is prepared using boiled potatoes and meat. To enhance the flavor, it is recommended to add a relatively large amount of hot garlic, onion and bay leaf. Cook the meat broth in advance - this will reduce the time.

Ingredients:
- Flour – 400 gr.
- Meat broth/water – 200 ml.
- Potatoes – 4 pcs.
- Meat – 500 gr.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 7 teeth.
- Salt – 2 tsp.
- Laurel leaf – 2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - for frying.
Cooking process:
Step 1. Combine wheat flour with hot broth and knead a stiff dough.
Step 2. Form a ball and cover with a cotton napkin, leave it alone for 15 minutes.
Step 3.Without wasting time, boil water in a saucepan with the addition of laurel and salt, boil the meat until tender.
Step 4. Finely chop the onion and sauté in heated vegetable oil.
Step 5. Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes, boil until soft.
Step 6. Roll out the rested dough into a thin layer and cut into strips, with sides about 3 centimeters.
Step 7. Cut each strip crosswise into smaller pieces.
Step 8. Place 2 fingers on each strip of dough and stretch it across the table; the pieces will begin to curl on their own.
Step 9. Shake off excess flour from the dough and place it on the table in one layer.
Step 10. Pour some hot broth into the bowl with a ladle, add chopped garlic and stir vigorously.
Step 11. Remove the meat from the broth, but leave the pan on the burner.
Step 12. Pour the dumplings into the broth in portions and cook for 10-15 minutes over moderate heat.
Step 13. Boil the potatoes until tender and mash them together with the fried onions - transfer them to a bowl.
Step 14. Cut the boiled meat into large pieces.

- Minced chicken – 100 gr.
- Flour – 2 tbsp.
- Eggs – 1 pc.

Cooking process:
Step 1.Grind the boiled potatoes using a grater with small holes, beat in a chicken egg, pepper and salt.
Step 2. Add a little flour and, if desired, greens - mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Step 3. Chop the onion in the same way as potatoes and mix with minced meat, salt and pepper.
Step 4. Sprinkle the cutting board with flour and spread the dough with a tablespoon, moisten the spoon with water and form into flat cakes.

Dumplings with onions are a traditional dish of Ukrainian cuisine, which is very popular all over the world, but this is not at all surprising! No one can resist the delicious “balls” prepared with the addition of juicy champignons and tender chicken meat.

- Chicken fillet – 300 gr.

Step 5. As soon as the moisture has evaporated, add the chicken and continue frying until all components are cooked.
Step 6. Season the roast with sour cream, pepper and salt - heat for a couple more minutes and remove from the stove.

- Flour – 1.5 tbsp.

Cornmeal dumplings are a versatile dish that can be added to soup or served with a meat dish, but it will also be delicious if you decide to taste the dumplings without any additions.You only need three ingredients to cook!

- Corn flour – 500 gr.
- Water – 250-350 ml.

Step 1. Pour flour into a bowl and pour in warm water in a thin stream.

Step 3. The dough should retain its shape, based on this, it is recommended to assemble the semi-finished product into a “tower”; it should retain its shape.
Step 4. Wet your hands in water and separate a little dough, form small dumplings.

Step 5. Form the dough into sausages and cut into small segments.

Cheese dumplings are a quick, tasty and very easy to prepare dish that will diversify your usual diet. In parallel with preparing the dumplings, we recommend that you fry the onion with lard and serve it all together, it’s so tasty that it’s better to cook with a reserve right away!

- Processed cheese – 180 gr.
