4. To dissolve the sugar, put the stove on medium heat and boil for 3-4 minutes and add citric acid. This will prevent the sugar from crystallizing.
5. Place the strawberries in the still hot syrup and add 2 sprigs of mint.
6. Cover with a lid (no need to close tightly!) and leave until completely cool. It's better to leave it overnight.
7. Throw out the mint. It has already given its aroma to the syrup. Pour the liquid into a saucepan and add pectin along with the remaining sugar. This trick will make the syrup thicker. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring the syrup to a boil, stirring constantly with a whisk. After boiling, cook for 2 minutes.
8. Back to whole berries. Place them in sterilized jars.
