How to cook chicken legs in puff pastry? We “free” the potato tubers from the skin and boil them in salted water until soft.

Finely chop the onion.

Grind the mushrooms in a similar way.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion.

As soon as the onion pieces become transparent, add the mushrooms and fry until all the excess moisture has evaporated.

In another frying pan, fry the bird until cooked (first rub with salt and a mixture of peppers).

Add butter to the boiled potatoes and rub thoroughly until it reaches the consistency of puree.

Add warm milk to the resulting mass, add salt if necessary and mix.

Combine the puree with fried mushrooms and let cool a little.

Roll out the defrosted dough into a thin layer and cut out a rectangle.

Cut into squares of the same size, approximately 15 by 15 centimeters.

We place the dough scraps in the center of each square (so that the bottom does not tear in the future).

Place 1-2 tablespoons of potato and mushroom filling on top.

Place the fried leg on the potato vertically.

We lift the edges of the dough up and wrap it around the shin. We tie it with culinary thread.

Grease a baking dish with a thin layer of oil and place the pieces.

Chicken legs with potatoes in puff pastry
From such simple products as chicken, potatoes, dough and mushrooms, you can easily prepare a holiday dish that will surely surprise your guests with its original presentation, golden-brown dough and tender poultry.

Ingredients:
- Chicken legs – 1 kg.
- Potatoes – 5-6 pcs.
- Puff pastry – 1 kg.
- Champignons – 500 gr.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Butter – 50 gr.
- Vegetable oil – 50 ml.
- Soy sauce – 2 tbsp.
- Laurel leaf – 2 pcs.
- Spices for chicken - to taste.
- Dill - to taste.
- Salt - to taste.
Cooking process:
Step 1. Peel the potatoes and boil in salted water until tender with the addition of bay leaves.
Step 2. Wash the bird thoroughly under running water, wipe dry with paper towels and remove the skin.
Step 3. Add salt and spices to the chicken and mix.
Step 4. Add soy sauce to the legs, stir again and put in a cool place for an hour to soak.
Step 5. Finely chop the peeled onion.
Step 6. Sauté the onion in vegetable oil until golden.
Step 7. Chaotically chop the mushrooms.

Step 12. Roll out the previously defrosted dough into a thin layer.

Step 14. Cut the scraps into strips and place them in the center of each dough piece.
Step 15. Place a heaping tablespoon of filling on top of the scraps.

Ingredients:
- Chicken legs – 4 pcs.
- Champignons – 500 gr.
- Puff pastry – 400 gr.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Green onion – 1 bunch.
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
- Salt - to taste.
- Seasonings - to taste.
- Water – 100 ml.
Cooking process:
Step 1. Wash the chicken thoroughly with water, dry it and remove the skin.
Step 2. Rub the legs with salt and your favorite spices, fry until tender in vegetable oil under the lid.
Step 3. Chop the champignons randomly.
Step 4. We do the same with the onion.
Step 5. Sauté the onion in hot oil until transparent and then add the mushrooms. Add some salt, pour in about 100 milliliters of water and simmer over high heat for about 5 minutes, then reduce the heat, cover with a lid and bring to readiness.
Step 6. Evaporate excess moisture (if desired, add sour cream to the filling).
Step 7. Roll out the puff pastry into a layer at least 5 millimeters thick and cut it into squares of such a size that their diameter is enough to completely “envelop” the leg.
Step 8. To seal the bottom of the bags, cut off 4 more small squares from the scraps.

- Chicken yolk – 1 pc.
- Milk – 2 tbsp.
- Butter – 50 gr.
- Dill – 1 bunch.
- Turmeric – 1 tsp.
- Ground paprika – 1 tsp.
- Mixture of herbs – 2 tsp.
- Mayonnaise - to taste.
- Salt - to taste.
- Ground black pepper - to taste.
Cooking process:
Step 1. Sprinkle the washed and dried legs with spices and salt and mix.
Step 2. Transfer the seasoned drumsticks into a baking sleeve and place in the oven at 200 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.
Step 3. Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water until tender and turn them into puree, adding butter.
Step 4. Add a bunch of finely chopped dill to the resulting mass.
Step 5. Roll out the defrosted dough into a layer and cut out 6 circles with a diameter of about 20 centimeters.
Step 6. Place 2 tablespoons of puree in the center of each dough piece and season with a small amount of mayonnaise for juiciness.
Step 7. Holding the leg vertically, lightly press it into the potato.
Step 8. Raise the edges of the dough to the bone and secure with a strip of cling film.
