1. First you need to knead the dough. Heat the milk, melt the butter. In a bowl, mix milk, butter, chicken egg, salt and sugar. Then gradually add the sifted flour and knead the dough.
2. The dough should turn out stiff and flexible, easily sticking off the walls of the dishes and your hands.Cover the dough with cling film or a bowl and let it rest while you mash the potatoes.
3. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes, cover with water, add a little salt and cook.
4. Cut the onion into small cubes, fry it in vegetable oil until golden brown.
5. When the potatoes are cooked, drain the water, add butter and milk. Mash the potatoes with a masher until you obtain a fluffy, homogeneous puree. Then add the fried onions and stir the puree again.
6. Divide the dough into 8-9 equal parts. Roll out thin cakes.
